Bio & Testimony

With an infectious blend of pop/rock sounds and harmonies Nashville based REV21 serves up a message that is both upbeat and encouraging. Blessed with the production skills of Alan Shacklock (Jeff Beck, Phil Keaggy, Meat Loaf, Andrew Lloyde Webber), who was named one of Billboard Magazines top 500 producers in the world, their new CD, "In The Twinkle Of An Eye" is armed with a fresh Nuevo/Retro rock sound that will entertain all who will listen, and above all - glorify God.

REV21 appeared in a CCM Magazine spotlight on independent artists, and Christianity Today profiled them as one of Americas 10 Independent Artists You Should Know. Over the past three years Billboard Magazine has presented the band with four songwriting awards.Their 1st radio single of 2007, "Who Better Than Our God" spent four weeks at #1 on TruelifeRadio.com.

"Train up a child the way he should go…" Proverbs 22:6

Rick and Tim were born and raised in Columbia, S.C.

They went to church on and off throughout their youth and were baptized into the faith.

Their parents divorced when Rick was twelve and Tim was eight.

After the divorce the boys pretty much abandoned their faith / Christian walk.

Their paths lead to Los Angeles, where they continued to further the hard rock band they worked on in South Carolina. They also continued to abuse alcohol, pornography, and visit strip bars - (Subconsciously seeking to achieve the lifestyle of the rock stars they looked up to).

In late 1996, they had finished successfully marketing a self-produced CD to College Radio, and then signed a small management contract. At the same time their bassist went into a deep depression after a bitter breakup with his fiancé. He reached out for help, and the only thing Rick and Tim knew to do was to share the Christian principles they had learned in their youth.

By early 1997 Rick and Tim had repented of their sinful activities, and rededicated their lives to Jesus Christ.

As of late 1999, you will find the Hammonds living in the Nashville area seeking to serve the Lord through His gift of music.

"...and when he is old he will not turn from it" Proverbs 22:6
